The mWAVE uses a woven carbon sock element inside a quartz tube filled with inert gas — the component that gives the series its low glare and even heat spread. Elements are consumable: they are the one part of the heater expected to be replaced over its service life, and replacing one restores full rated output rather than requiring a new heater.
Match the element to the heater, not to the heater’s total wattage. The 3.6 kW and 5.0 kW models carry two elements each, so a full re-lamp of those units takes two of this part.
